Dog Park: The Musical

"Follow Daisy, Champ, Bogie and Itchy through their adventures at the hippest, hottest place in town: the Dogpark, where the doggie dating scene is in full swing. All the boys like Daisy, but it’s Bogie who makes her fur stand up. Call it animal magnetism, but these two were made for each other. Of course the road to true love is never smooth and a dark secret, a few nosy purse dogs and Animal Control all do their parts to throw our twosome off the scent. In the end, every dog has her day, and love conquers all."  Amateur and professional production rights available from Samuel French:

"Dogpark the Musical" at Milwaukee Rep

Peggy Sue Dunigan—Third Coast Digest

It’s yappy hour! This sums up the first 2009 selection in The Rep’s Stackner Cabaret, Dogpark: The Musical. The tag line drolly reflects the production written by Jahnna Beecham and Malcolm Hillgartner, a husband and wife team, and Michael J. Hume. The night is spent ascertaining the love lives of “two-legged” canines in this premiere offering from the writers who brought They Came from Way Out There to the venue in 2007.

The Rep's canine cabaret a real howl!

Jackie Loohauis-Bennett—Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

At long last, some playwrights bark up the right tree. Dogpark: The Musical, the Milwaukee Repertory Theater's new canine comedy at the Stackner Cabaret, is all doggies all the time, in an absolutely charming "walkies!" through the turf pooch parents hold dear.
